Eyes, for me, are among the facial features that most influence a person’s overall expression. When the eyes look fresh and lively, the whole face instantly feels different. But once sleep deprivation kicks in, the under-eye area is usually the first part of the face look more tired, dull, and even older.
Dark circles really can affect your overall appearance. And luckily, some people are born with them genetically (yep, that’s me!). So, products like concealer have become one of the makeup essentials that I always keep around to help cover this little “flaw” of mine.
This time, I decided to pair it with Correct & Conceal Under Eye Brightening Concealer from Essence.
This is one of Essence’s corrector variants that comes in four shades designed to help with dark spots, blemishes, dullness, and dark under-eye circles according to your skin tone.
Packaging
Essence Correct & Conceal Under Eye Brightening Concealer comes in a clear plastic tube with the brand name and several product information written on the packaging. This product contains 3.5 ml of product in total.

As you can see from the picture, the doe-foot applicator is slightly flat and flexible enough to dot the product under the eyes or on other areas that need a little extra concealing. It also picks up quite a generous amount of product from inside the tube.
Ingredients
This affordable corrector is water-based and contains a few interesting ingredients, including Coconut Alkanes and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice. I just noticed that these have an effect, such as:
– Coconut Alkanes, an emollient made from coconut oil that helps skincare feel silky and lightweight while keeping the skin soft and balanced.
– Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, as a humectant that draws moisture into the skin.
For the full ingredients list, I always recommend checking the official website in case there are any future updates or reformulations.
Texture, Scent, and Results
The texture of Correct & Conceal Under Eye Brightening Concealer feels creamy and lightweight, although on my dry skin, it sets quite quickly. I personally own two shades, which are Tan and Medium, so whenever my skin gets a little more sun exposure than usual, I still have another shade option to help cover my dark circles better.
And for those of you who are sensitive to fragrance, no need to worry about it, because this corrector is completely fragrance-free!
Here’s how my under-eye area looked before and after using Correct & Conceal Under Eye Brightening Concealer by combining the Tan and Medium shades. Tbh, on my dry skin, it lasted for around 6 hours (just make sure to use a setting powder because that’s one of the main factors affecting its longevity).

However, it does crease quite easily, so I usually just tap it gently with my fingers or a brush to smooth everything out again.
Final Verdict
Pros:
For only USD 4.99, I honestly think this corrector is really worth adding to your makeup collection. Even with just 1–2 small dots, the pigmentation is quite impressive, though, helping cover imperfections. It also comes in 4 different shades that you can adjust based on your needs. Plus, it’s fragrance-free and can stay put for up to 6 hours with the help of setting powder.
Cons:
- The product tends to get a little messy around the cap
- Creases quite easily, especially on dry under-eyes
So… would you give this one a try?
Talk to you soon,
Pika 🌼
